Phase Two of the Beach Improvement Project recently started and is expected to be completed in time for the 2026 beach season. This phase focuses on upgrades to the seasonal beach amenities, including new access from the street and a new bathroom building.

Unfortunately, beach plaza upgrades were removed from the current phase of construction due to higher than anticipated construction costs.

The Village has an opportunity to restore the beach plaza upgrades to the current construction season, realizing significant savings - but time is of the essence.

We need your help - we are seeking private donations to include beach plaza updates in the current construction season.

Beach Plaza Upgrades include:

  • Wood boardwalk added to the plaza and new wood steps down to the sand
  • New ADA ramp to the sand
  • Outdoor shower/foot wash station on the plaza
  • Additional seating overlooking the swim beach
  • Reduced concrete and a natural turf picnic area
  • Integrated, low level landscape lighting

If we are successful, these upgrades will be constructed and ready to use next summer.

Community Challenge

We have already secured pledges for $293,000 for the project. A challenge from an anonymous donor will unlock $100,000 if an additional $107,000 in private donations can be raised by October 15.

Your pledge today can help us unlock this generous gift. Pledges must be recorded by October 15 with payments due by Q1 2026.
