This week, the Village's contractor, Hoerr Construction, performed sewer lining work on Sterling Road north of Wayland Avenue, Abbotsford Road south of Kenilworth Avenue, and Brier Street between Kent Road and Park Drive. During the process, impacted residents may have detected an order in their homes. If you have any concerns about the odor, please review the attached materials below regarding the sewer lining process. The work in the project areas was completed yesterday, September 28th, 2023, and the odor should have dissipated.
Sewer Lining Information
As a reminder, if you are detecting an odor, it is recommended to pour a couple of gallons of water, with a cup of vegetable oil, down your basement floor drain.
